What to Bring

A playpen or C&C cage for your guinea pigs. If you do not have a playpen, we can reserve one for you on the day. Please contact us prior to the event to arrange this. If you wish to purchase grids from ACS to make a playpen on the day packs are $8.50 per 5 grids. These grids can also be bought from Bunnings and are called IBEX CUBES. Playpens can also be purchased on Ebay and at The Warehouse for reasonable prices. Please contact ACS if you wish to arrange and order of grids though us.

At the Australian Cavy Sanctuary ‘Pignic in the Park’ a family 'Pignic' will also be hosted in a designated area on the same premises. ACS shelter managers and volunteers will be attending ready to enjoy the day with fellow Pignic-ers!

Please Note: This ACS is guinea pig rescue and awareness organisation and we ask that their be no sales of live animals at the event. The organisation does not support the regular breeding or backyard breeding of guinea pigs nor the placement of guinea pigs in pet shops. If breeders wish to attend the event we ask that talk of breeding or showing not be spoken of or advertised at the event. ACS reserves the right to ask people to leave the event who may not follow the above guidelines.

How to Prepare

We request that all guinea pigs/pets attending the Pignic must be in good health and mite treated before the event, for the safety of your guinea pig and others attending the event.
