The Australian Cavy Sanctuary shelters are all non profit and non government funded and all conform to high standards and the same ACS objectives.

The Shelter Managers: All ACS shelter managers are unpaid volunteers who have had many years of practical experience and study in guinea pigs and their keeping, care and health. You are assured ongoing and correct advice from your nearest ACS shelter manager. ACS shelter managers are strong and passionate advocates for small animal welfare, rights and awareness and animal welfare as a whole.

The Shelters: ACS Shelters are managed currently from private residences. This is one reason that shelter addresses are not openly displayed on the ACS website. ACS shelters have a high standard of care for our animals. The guinea pigs in our care are assured many hours of daily attention, sheltered and safe large enclosures, correct guinea pig diet, health checks, medical/vet care as needed and comfortable living quarters.

Free visits to ACS shelters are more than welcome by pre-booked appointment.

What else? You are able to purchase quality fresh guinea pig feed, fresh hay, bedding and other guinea pig related products from your nearest ACS shelter. Items for sale may differ between shelters so please contact your nearest shelter to find out what they offer. All proceeds go directly to the animals in our care.
